Work From Home Mom/Dad

By Adrienne Johnson

The dogs are barking, the dishes are dirty, and your two year old needs a nap. You start to wonder "why am I working from home?" It is days like these that your sanity is holding on by a thread.

So how do stay at home mothers do it? I get this question alot. How do I balance the housework, the babies, and the career? It isn't easy! But who said I liked it easy!

When I decided to stay at home it was because daycare was not an option. Life's little joys of growing up should be shared between a parent and child. I wouldn't want to miss out on any of their antics.

Now working from home came to me because I didn't have any other options. Work had cut back for my husband and he was trying to make ends meet by fixing tractors and other pieces of equipment. His income was barely covering any of our bills.

Living this way was not part of our plan. We wanted more for our ourselves and our children. So, I decided to make a difference and start a plan for our well being.

Working at home was my only option. I was not going to spend a bunch of time away from my loved ones for money. It was just not worth it for me. So, I chose a network marketing business I new I could love and had a low start up. Something that could truly help my family and I.

Now back to the original question. How do I do it?

First, you have to balance yourself. Do a little bit everyday. You will not accomplish your goals all at once. Work at them a little at a time.

Second, what things can you live without? Are their certain habits getting in your way of success, costly hobbies, nails, expensive hair salons, coffee from starbuck.

Third, What are your priorities? What comes first your children or money. DO NOT get so caught up trying to make money for your family that you desert them.

You will often hear that to make it in the network marketing you have to give it your all. But if you are a stay at home parent that is not an optiony. The babies have needs to be attended to. It will take you longer or more creative energy to succeed but in the end it will be well worth it.
